Casa Angelita, ¬'Tradición y gloria bendita¬ª, is a recreation of the old eating houses, a place to have tapas at a good bar; it is not a place for long after-dinner meals, and it is not intended for reservations. The name of the bar is a tribute to Angela, the typical ¬'chicuca¬ª who came from the Tierruca, and has done everything from cook to waitress, running her business for years, and that is why this is our best tribute to her. The menu features cold tapas such as: Prawns salad, Papas Aliñás. anchovies, asparagus from Navarra and dressing things like sardines in vinegar and tomato and our Gildas. Different typical fried food from Cádiz like "los Chocos" or "la Caella en Adobo", our homemade codfish and of course the Tortillitas de Camarones (shrimp omelettes). Croquettes or chicken in marinade with Amontillado sherry wine are also among the favorites, and there is never a lack of daily stews. Vegetarian dishes such as artichokes or leeks, among others, can also be tasted. Also cheeses and sausages of the area and a select assortment of top quality canned food such as mussels and cockles. This traditional cuisine, 'of all life', can be accompanied by local beverages such as wines from Jerez and Sanlúcar or a "cold beer". The decoration of the restaurant bears the stamp of Gaspar Sobrino, well known in the province for his work in other restaurants and gastronomic spaces. A classic, traditional place, but with a modern contemporary touch, full of noble materials such as clay, rope, wood and tiles of the past. Castizo but with glamour, from the 'España de toda la vida'; a place that, like the wine, will become even more beautiful with time.
