Taberna Casa Manteca was founded in 1953 by Lorenzo Ruiz Manteca, from Selaya. It opened its doors as Ultramarinos and Taberna, two well differentiated spaces that are currently maintained well as they were conceived. His son Pepe Ruiz Manteca, gave it his overwhelming personality and knew how to perfectly combine the soul of the neighborhood the vineyard with the world of Flamenco and Bullfighting of which he was part fighting for half of Spain in the 50's.
It is currently run by the 3rd generation with the invaluable help of its crew and with the desire to make everyone who visits us happy. Enjoy !
